Mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs or work and study support for young people (12-25).

Supporting young people with mental health, physical health and sexual health, alcohol and other drug services, as well as work and study support. With a focus on early intervention, we work with young people to provide support at a crucial time in their lives – to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future.  

Country & Outback Health are the lead agency for three headspace Centres, located in Port Augusta, Whyalla and Port Lincoln, as well as outreach services to Port Pirie and to remote Outback locations through our Flying headspace program.

Centre services are free (or low cost) and provide support for:
Mental health. Clinical mental health professionals are available to provide support, treatment and management plans for a variety of mental health concerns.
Physical and sexual health. Providing young people with a safe, confidential and judgement-free place to seek medical advice and treatment.
Alcohol and other drugs. From providing information to treating addiction, alcohol and drug counsellors are available to address the complexities of alcohol and drug issues.
Work and study. Counsellors and vocational workers are available to assist with a range of life skills, such as: managing workloads, dealing with stress, preparing job applications and career planning.

How to access:

If you think headspace could help you drop into one of our headspace Centres or speak to your doctor about making an appointment with headspace and they will complete a referral on your behalf.
