The steel city shone in the colours of the rainbow, as around 70 people gathered to participate in the Whyalla Pride March 2021.
Organised by headspace Whyalla and coinciding with Pride Month, the march encouraged members of the LGBT community to celebrate their sexuality and be comfortable in their own skin.
It was also an opportunity for residents to show their support for the community, with plenty of people cheering the marchers on from the sidelines.
The march route saw the group walk from headspace down to Bottle and Bird and back to headspace, with many taking advantage of the glitter station to get totally glittered up!
While fun, the day was also a reminder of the mental challenges that people in the LGBT community face, having one of the highest rates of depression and anxiety compared to other groups.
