Country & Outback Health is a not-for-profit organisation focused on building healthier and happier communities. Delivering a diverse range of mental health, allied health, addiction support, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander health, NDIS services as well as support services for Young People within our headspace centres. Our multidisciplinary team empowers and advocates for healthy rural communities through providing diverse and excellent health services throughout country South Australia.
About the role:
We are looking for a passionate individual who will have the experience and skills to support clients as they work through behaviour changing interventions in their pursuit toward healthier lifestyles free from alcohol and/or drug use.
The role will deliver a community-based service for clients requiring education and support in the recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. This position focuses on a continuous improvement model contributing to the advancement of practices and services, allowing innovative solutions for individuals.
About You:
- Experience in a similar role and have either:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Alcohol and Other Drugs
- Diploma of Community Services (Alcohol, Other Drugs and Mental Health)
- AOD Worker
- SMART Training (Desirable)
- Understanding of concepts in relation to mental health issues and co-current problems with alcohol and drug misuse.
- Previous facilitation of support groups focused on Behaviour Change and Goal Setting is desirable but not essential.
