Country & Outback Health Dietitians support people with a wide range of nutritional and health concerns, including:
Speak with your GP about your nutritional needs and request a referral to Country & Outback Health.
Your GP submits a referral for Dietetics support. For government funded appointments, this is required.
Our team reaches out to introduce themselves and answer any questions.
Once your referral is received, you will be offered an initial one hour appointment with our Dietitian.
Ongoing support is provided as needed, based on your individual health goals and circumstances.
Private Dietetics appointments are available at selected locations from $150 per appointment. Depending on your circumstances, part of the cost may be subsidised through Medicare or your Private Health Fund.
Medicare funded appointments are available at Port Lincoln only. Eligible clients with a Chronic Disease Management Plan from their GP may be bulk billed for up to 5 sessions.
Country & Outback Health offers free Dietetics services to eligible communities with a population of less than 8,000, through funding and support from Country SA PHN (CSAPHN). A GP referral is required.

For government funded and Medicare appointments, a referral or Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP is required. Private appointments can be booked directly by calling 08 8644 4900.
Private appointments are available from $150. Medicare bulk billed appointments are available at Port Lincoln for eligible clients with a Chronic Disease Management Plan. Free government funded appointments are available in eligible communities through Country SA PHN (CSAPHN).
Yes. Telehealth consultations are available for clients who are unable to attend in person. Contact our team to discuss whether telehealth is suitable for your situation.
Your Dietitian will complete a full nutritional assessment, discuss your health goals and medical history, and develop a personalised nutrition plan tailored to your individual needs.
