Practical support for people having thoughts of ending their own life or have recently attempted suicide

The My Life program can provide you with the practical support that you may need if you are struggling with suicidal thoughts or if you have recently tried to take you own life. 

The  My Life team understand that everyone's needs are different and can help you to stay safe during these difficult and confusing times.   

My Life can provide you with the practical support that you may need to;

  • Get through a challenging time in your life  
  • Identify key troubles that can make you feel anxious of overwhelmed 
  • Identify key support people in your life
  • Connect with services and supports in your local community  

My Life recognises the importance of involving family, friends and carers in your recovery. We can provide them with information and support. 

The My Life team will work with you to;

  • Develop new ways of coping and problem solving  
  • Build a strong support network
  • Build a safety plan 
  • Find a GP that you are comfortable with  

 My Life is a free service providing short term support for people aged 16 years and over. Regular one-on-one contact with your My Life worker can either be face to face or over the telephone and the amount of contact will vary depending on your needs.
